What the Applications Group Does
Working closely with the survey client, the Applications Group carries out all tasking necessary for the on-time delivery of the hyperspectral or thermal data and derived products.
Our technical experience, and our operational and logistical flexibility allow us to operate globally using our imagers, while our established management systems help to keep our projects on-track.

Process Chart
Using our hyperspectral and thermal imagers, over 3800 square kilometres (1500 square miles) of high-resolution data are typically acquired by our Applications Group annually across the US and worldwide for clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, USDOT, NASA, ESA, and private commercial and environmental companies. The use of aircraft-certified sensor installations and established quality assurance and maintenance procedures means that field downtime is minimized.
Quality Assurance Supports our Goal
The Applications Group also conducts coincident ground data collection for the purpose of atmospheric data correction or data product validation. Data processing is often conducted in-field to minimize data turn-around time, or may be performed at ITRES’ production facilities. With the coming introduction of our In-Flight Processing System (IPS), this industry-first will further speed up access to the processed data as geocorrection and mosaicking will be conducted during flight.
