Calgary, August 28, 2013 – What is likely the world’s first wide-swath airborne ultraviolet mapping system, the UVC-1800, was recently delivered to the Institute for Environmental Solutions, of Riga, Latvia. IES will be adding this broadband camera’s UV coverage to their existing multiple-spectrum airborne laboratory. In addition to Lidar, using their ITRES imaging sensor suite IES can provide multiple-spectrum mapping imagery covering the ultraviolet, visible-near infrared, and shortwave, midwave and longwave infrared regions.
Calgary, August 9, 2013 – High-resolution hyperspectral VNIR (Visible to Near-Infrared) mapping capability has been added to a national Philippine Lidar-based 3D mapping initiative. ITRES has delivered a hyperspectral CASI-1500 imager and provided on-site system training to ASTI (Advanced Science and Technology Institute) and the University of Philippines. This high-performance imager will provide information-rich image layers to this initiative’s terrain mapping capability.
The University of Philippines’ Disaster Risk and Exposure Assessment for Mitigation (DREAM) program was established to topographically map the country’s 22 major river basins and develop high-resolution elevation data for flood disaster mitigation modeling using Lidar.
Calgary, March 27, 2013 – The first operational test of the TSR-1800 in an arctic coastal environment was successfully conducted by North Slope Borough Search and Rescue of Barrow, Alaska, under the guidance of ITRES.
The NSB SAR team recently took possession of a new pressurized Beechcraft King Air aircraft configured in a dual medevac/search and rescue role by Avcon Aviation Consulting Services. The wide swath TSR-1800 will be used by NSB as they provide search and rescue services for the entire North Slope region.
After installing their new TSR-1800 system, NSB conducted a series of search and rescue test flights over ocean, tundra, and urban test areas near Barrow. ITRES provided operational training and support to NSB during these flights. The goal of these flights was the evaluation of system performance in automatically detecting ground targets from multiple flying heights over land and ice/water.
Calgary, June 27, 2012 – ITRES crews returned from their first fire mapping operations of the season conducted for Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (ESRD). Utilizing the commercial airborne TABI-1800 thermal mapper, ITRES and Geodesy Remote Sensing Inc. have again been contracted to provide wildfire and hotspot mapping services in support of ESRD’s 2012 provincial wildfire management efforts.
Calgary, May 30, 2012 – ITRES is pleased to announce that we have our first sale of the new Search and Rescue (SAR) option for the TABI-1800 (Thermal Airborne Broadband Imager). The first system is scheduled to be delivered in July to a SAR organization based on the strength of the demonstrated capabilities of the TABI.
Introduced in 2011, the core of this system is the patented, high spatial/thermal resolution pushframe TABI-1800 imager. Calgary, May 29, 2012 – The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) has purchased the new CASI-1500H imager from ITRES. This hybrid variant of the VNIR CASI-1500 (Compact Airborne Spectrographic Imager) maintains the performance edge of the original sensor, but features a smaller and lighter design that also eliminates the need for a separate instrument controller. Delivery of the system is scheduled for later this summer.
Calgary, February 28, 2012 – Software and hardware engineering efforts at ITRES have moved into the next phase towards integrating our In-Flight Processing System (IPS) development with new high-resolution pushframe thermal TABI-1800 imager.

Calgary, September 2, 2011 – ITRES is pleased to announce the recent delivery of another combined hyperspectral VNIR-SWIR imaging system, this time to CEKE Spatial Info-Tech Co. Ltd. of Beijing, China.
The delivery of high-performance CASI-1500 and SASI-600 airborne hyperspectral imaging systems to CEKE Spatial Info-Tech Co. Ltd. was formally completed in July with the conclusion of operations, processing, and calibrations training at the customer’s facilities in Beijing.
